Redesign TREF MPI for Neurobiology

On the premises of the Max Planck Institute of Neurobiology in Martinsried, the outdoor area as well as the access to the side entrance of the building sections O and P were reconstructed. After dismantling the garbage shed near the entrance, which then was relocated in accordance with the new design, and removing the surfacing in this area, the pavement was renewed for improving the access to the building as well as the delivery zone. Moreover, the outdoor lighting was complemented so that in the event of an alarm, the access path to the assembly point is properly illuminated.

In the course of these measures, the outdoor facilities were upgraded as well. Polygonal plant beds with flowering shrubs and ornamental cherry trees border the new access paths. In the middle of the adjoining green area, an organic wooden deck was erected which can be used for all kinds of events. Structured by the plant beds, the outdoor area can be furnished as desired and is very inviting now.
