Modernisation of a lecture hall and foyer at the Max Planck Institut of Psychiatry

The 2-storey structure in front of the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry houses a library, a meeting room as well as a lecture hall plus foyer. During this project, the lecture hall area and the adjoining foyer were modernised. The carpet was replaced by a modern parquet flooring, and the ceiling was upgraded for the purpose of improving the room acoustics. Furthermore, the wall covering was renewed. For being able to program various lighting settings, the entire lighting system in the lecture hall and the foyer was replaced. In the lecture hall, the seating was upgraded with a new upholstery, and floor boxes were included. Moreover, for the purpose of using the lecture hall more flexibly, a variable curtain system was installed so that the lecture hall can be partitioned for events with a small number of participants. By means of video transmission, events can also be transmitted live, e.g. into the foyer. Thus, the Institute has modern and attractive facilities suitable for all kinds of events.
